 Raju Lama Biography – Raju Lama is a singer, Songwriter, and Composer from Nepal. He is born in 16 march 1978 in Baruwa 1 Sindhupalchok, Nepal. He is the Lead Vocalist of a musical band Mongolian Heart. His work involves songs in Nepali, Tibetan, Tamang and many more languages. Every person should love his vocal, composition, stage performance, cuteness, attitude, and humbleness. He is a down to earth person and inspiration for every new generation. 

Raju Lama Childhood:

Raju Lama was born in Baruwa 1, Sindhupalchok to parents Sukhbir Lama and Yangchun Lama. Then he moved over to Kathmandu with his sister at the tender age of five. In Kathmandu, he started his early education and completed his SLC (School Leaving Certificate) from Siddhartha Vanasthali School.  His school years were the formative years of his career as he performed many times at school shows like he started to sing a song from class one, at that time he didn’t have any music gadget and instrument but he really passionate about music watched a TV show in friend home, remember the lyrics and practice himself. Continuously drawing his inspiration from the veteran singer late Arun Thapa and Aruna Lama. His performance soon caught everyone’s attention. One day his school suggest him to join music class and he joins a class in Sadhana Kala Kendra but only one month because he didn’t much time to focus on study and music class and he left music class. In his last years of school, he got together with similar minds in school and a few other friends from Mongolian Heart in 1992. Mongolian Heart started recording commercially in 1993 with Raju Lama on the lead singer. At that time he was only 14 years old and his band releases new album Soltini (1994). When his young age he once aspired to join the British army, He also wanted to get into a technical line as a professional. However, his passion for music and dragged him away from them. He gave up the idea and continues to strive for his passion. And start to working with the band, they released another album in 1997, titled Mongolian Heart, which gave them their much-needed platform to make Raju Lama and his band what they are today. He gives his sister Lhamu Lama all the credit to his success, name, and fame. Nurturing him from the age of five, she has been his constant support in all his endeavors to what he is today. Music aside ever-smiling Pisces loves to take photographs, make new friends, travel and visit places, generating a new idea which he gets to do quite a bit through his performance in various countries worldwide like USA, UK, Australia, Japan, Korea, Hongkong, Dubai, and so many other countries.

Social works:

There are many children who are unrecognized from education and Raju Lama Foundation works to promote education in rural communities in Nepal. He did many shows for charities. It particularly specializes in building and providing material for students to be able to receive an education. Raju Lama a firm believer in God, also actively works through the Greenlife Buddhist Society Nepal, and NGO involved in social service and Nepal Tamang Art and Culture Centre.
